Ontario’s Pedagogy for the Early Years serves as the foundation for each of Today’s Family’s programs. Guided by our educators, our children venture into, explore, and learn about the world around them through immersive play.

Belonging
Children feel a sense of belonging when they are connected to others and contribute to the world around them. Our programs cultivate authentic, caring relationships and connections to create a sense of belonging among and between children, adults, and the world around them.
Well-Being
Children deserve to grow with a strong sense of self, health, and overall well-being. Our programs are designed to support healthy development, helping children build confidence, resilience, support their growing sense of self.
Expression
Children are capable communicators, who express themselves in many ways. Our programs aim to foster communication and expression in all forms to support children’s many languages.
Engagement
Children are active and engaged learners who explore their world with body, mind, and senses. Our programs provide environments and experiences to engage children in active, creative, and meaningful exploration, play, and inquiry.

As centre-based Early Childhood Educators, licensed home child care providers, before and after school educators, and EarlyON program facilitators, our early childhood educators are the roots of a flourishing tree. As much as our focus is on the children we serve, the success of Today’s Family has always been, and will always be, based on the excellence of our Early Childhood Educators.

At Today’s Family, we celebrate play as the heart of learning, a powerful force that sparks curiosity, builds deep connections, and nurtures the growth of every child.
Through play, children explore the world around them, develop critical thinking and social skills, and build the confidence to express themselves fully. We truly believe that joyful, meaningful play lays the foundation for lifelong learning and well-being.
We know learning through play happens anywhere, and just like indoors we strive to create rich, engaging experiences outdoors that support every child’s natural desire to learn. Through outdoor exploration, children connect with the world in authentic ways paving the way to imagine, discover and learn about the natural world around them.
